Florida Prison Consultants, Inc. was created with over 150 years of combined professional staff experience in paralegal, criminal justice, advocacy and corrections experience, to include specifically the Federal Bureau of Prisons and the Florida Department of Corrections agencies. Our mission is to assist both defendants and inmates who are have been indicted, sentenced, convicted or incarcerated of a federal crime or a Florida state crime and will be serving a prison sentence in the Federal Bureau of Prisons for a federal prison sentence or the Florida Department of Corrections for Florida state sentence.
The Federal Bureau of Prisons consists of 116 institutions, 6 regional offices, a Central Office (headquarters), 2 staff training centers, and 22 community corrections offices. The regional offices and Central Office provide administrative oversight and support to Bureau facilities and community corrections offices. In turn, community corrections offices oversee residential reentry centers and home confinement programs. The Bureau is responsible for the custody and care of approximately 210,000 Federal offenders. Approximately 82 percent of these inmates are confined in Bureau-operated facilities, while the balance is confined in secure privately managed or community-based facilities and local jails.
The Florida Department of Corrections is the third largest state prison system in the country with over 102,000 inmates incarcerated and another 115,000 offenders on active community supervision. The Florida Department of Corrections has 146 facilities statewide, including 62 prisons, 46 work/forestry camps, one treatment center, 33 work release centers and five road prisons.
Florida Prison Consultants, Inc. is located in Maitland, FL, a suburb of the Orlando metropolitan area. We welcome potential clients and clients at our offices by appointment. We have also teamed up with The Regus Group Network, which has offices and meeting rooms throughout the State of Florida for clients who which to retain us for face-to-face meetings. We also can set appointments to meet at any law office in Florida, should you choose to retain us to do so. Most clients retain us just after a telephone consultation and an initial assessment strategy has been performed
